Is it art or a speaker? It's both and it's $100,000.

David Lynch designed art for very cool, expensive Bang & Olufsen speakers

David Lynch has designed artwork for for a line of Bang & Olufsen speakers that are being featured at the MoMA Design Store (and at other select retailers). There are four different models, ranging from a $200 Beoplay P2 Bluetooth Speaker all way up — way way up — to the $100,000 Beosound Shape which does indeed look like a piece of art. They’re all perfect for listening to Julee Cruise, Nine Inch Nails, and Au Revoir Simone or just the the sounds of ambient electrical hums. You can order online or visit the MoMA Design Store in SoHo.

Meanwhile, this weekend is the Los Angeles edition of David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption with RZA, Grace Jones, Jonsi, Jeff Goldblum, and more.
