Death Grips have a new double album, the powers that b, on the way and were scheduled to tour with Soundgarden and Nine Inch Nails as well as play festivals such as Pitchfork Fest, FYF Fest and FFF Fest this summer. A band known for canceling shows a lot, they’ve gone and canceled all upcoming shows because… they’ve broken up. At least that’s what they say (this could be another of their stunts). The band posted the above picture to their Facebook that says:

we are now at our best and so Death Grips is over. we have officially stopped. all currently scheduled live dates are canceled. our upcoming double album “the powers that b” will still be delivered worldwide later this year via Harvest/Third Worlds Records. Death Grips was and always has been a conceptual art exhibition anchored by sound and vision. above and beyond a “band”. to our truest fans, please stay legend.

Stay tuned for the second half of their new album, titled jenny death. The first half, niggas on the moon (which features Bjork), is out now.
