Frankie Cosmos announce new album & tour, shares "Windows"

Frankie Cosmos have announced a new album, Close It Quietly, which will be out September 6 via Sub Pop. Main member Greta Kline made it with longtime bandmates Lauren Martin (synth), Luke Pyenson (drums), and Alex Bailey (bass), and it was co-produced by the band and Gabe Wax (Soccer Mommy, Palehound) at Brooklyn’s Figure 8 Studios. The first single is “Windows,” and Greta says, “This song takes place during the waiting period of healing, not knowing how to proceed or how to find the path to forgiveness. The inner versus the outer- learning to see yourself as part of the whole. For me the lyrics cover some of the slow movements of relationships, the shifts that occur in ways of thinking over time.” You can listen and watch the video (co-directed by Greta and Eliza Doyle) below. The 21-song tracklist and album artwork are below too.

Frankie Cosmos also announced a tour, including a hometown NYC show on September 29 at Webster Hall. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (6/21) at 10 AM with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (6/19) at noon. All dates are listed below.
