Jenny Lewis sang Postal Service with Death Cab for Cutie (watch)

Death Cab for Cutie have been on the road for much of the year, and they recently began a leg of dates with Jenny Lewis, who returned with a great new album, On The Line, in March. Of course, Death Cab frontman Ben Gibbard and Jenny go way back as bandmates in The Postal Service, a role they reprised in 2013 when they reunited for shows celebrating the tenth anniversary of Give Up. Now that they’re touring together once again, it seems they can’t resist dusting off The Postal Service’s material again, too, and have covered “Nothing Better” as an encore on a couple of nights so far, in Shelburne, VT and Portland, ME. Watch video below. It’s not quite a Postal Service reunion without Jimmy Tamborello, but it’s pretty close!

Death Cab and Jenny’s tour takes them to NYC on Saturday June 15 for a show at Forest Hills Stadium, and tickets are still on sale.

Later this summer, Death Cab play LA’s Hollywood Bowl on Sunday August 11, this time with Car Seat Headrest opening. Tickets for that show are still on sale, and we’re also giving away a pair.
