After a tiny club show at The Box in December and a four-song acoustic set at Highline earlier this week, rising UK singer Jessie Ware played what you could call her first proper NYC show last night (1/17) at Bowery Ballroom with openers Faye and Rochelle Jordan and pictures from that show are in this post. Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky has expressed interest in having Ware appear on his next album. “I knew about her since last summer. I’m working with her, I’m going to work with her. I want to bad,” Rocky told the BBC. I don’t care about her being a star, I just think she has a beautiful voice and a lot of talent. I haven’t got the chance or honour to meet her yet – I just love her art.” You may remember Florence Welch appears on his debut, Long.Live.A$AP which is out this week and SPIN just gave “Worst New Music.”
