Mono playing orchestral US shows
Japanese post-rock greats Mono released their tenth album Nowhere Now Here earlier this year on Temporary Residence Ltd, and now they’ve announced three US shows where they’ll be joined by orchestras. In NYC and LA, they’ll perform with the Wordless Music Orchestra, with whom they released a live album recorded in NYC in 2010, and in Chicago they’ll perform with the Candlelight Chamber Orchestra, whose lineup includes past Mono collaborators Melissa Bach and Jeff Yang. The LA show has great support from The Album Leaf, and openers are still TBA for the Chicago and NYC shows.
The NYC show happens November 23 at Murmrr Theatre. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (8/23) at 10 AM.
Mono also play 20th anniversary shows in London this December with Boris, Alcest, Envy, Arabrot, Svalbard, and more; and they’re joining Black Mountain and Ryley Walker at the Toronto stop of their just-announced tour. All dates are listed, with the flyer for the orchestral US shows, below.
