GOTHBOICLIQUE

GothBoiClique, the emo-rap collective co-founded by Wicca Phase Springs Eternal (aka ex-Tigers Jaw co-frontman Adam McIlwee) which once featured the late Lil Peep, is on tour now with its lineup rotating by date. They’re playing Lollapalooza as we speak (with Wicca Phase in the fold), and they have a bunch of other upcoming tour dates, including a NYC show on September 5 at Bowery Ballroom (with Cold Hart, Horse Head, Fish Narc, and YAWNS). Though Wicca Phase is not on that show, he does have a NYC show with Lil Ugly Mane in September. All GBC dates and tickets here.

JUDGE / CRO-MAGS JM

NYHC legends Judge recently announced an Asbury Park show, and now they’ve also added West Coast dates with fellow NYHC vets Cro-Mags JM (John Joseph and Mackie’s band), which go on sale this Friday (8/2). All dates and ticket links here. The 30th anniversary of their classic album Bringin’ It Down will also be celebrated on Friday as part of the New York graffiti exhibition Beyond The Streets, and Walter Schreifels (Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, Rival Schools, etc) is making a special guest appearance at that event. Sold out. Cro-Mags JM are also about to wrap up a tour with Clutch and Killswitch Engage and they have two NYC shows with Madball in September.

MISS JUNE

New Zealand punky alt-rock revivalists Miss June recently released a two-song single on Frenchkiss and then played three NYC shows. After that, they announced their debut album Bad Luck Party (due 9/6) and shared “Enemies” off that album, and now they have announced a tour of North America, the UK, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia supporting the album. LANA DEL REY

Lana Del Rey has announced leg one of the ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell Tour,’ which supports the upcoming album of the same name.

MARTIN FRAWLEY (TWERPS) TOURING WITH SUPERCHUNK

Former Twerps member Martin Frawley released his solo debut, Undone, earlier this year will join Superchunk on their fall Acoustic Foolish mini-tour, including shows in the DC area, Philly, the Boston area and Brooklyn (Murmrr THeatre on 11/7). Before that, he’ll join White Fence and Stephen Malkmus on respective European tours. All dates are here

ROY AYERS

Jazz, soul and R&B icon Roy Ayers played Elsewhere’s rooftop back in May and now he’s set to play Elsewhere Hall for a holiday show on December 27. His only other U.S. date is part of Dallas’ Riverfront Jazz Festival, which happens over Labor Day Weekend, but he’s got lots of upcoming European shows. Head here for all dates.

MERCYFUL FATE

Frontman King Diamond revealed that the legendary Mercyful Fate will come out of hibernation for their first shows in 20+ years in 2020. They’re playing hometown festival Copenhell, and “an unspecified number of concerts throughout Europe during the summer of 2020.” Fingers crossed for US shows too!

THIRD EYE BLIND/JIMMY EAT WORLD/RA RA RIOT

Third Eye Blind, Jimmy Eat World, and Ra Ra Riot have been on the Summer Gods Tour together since June, and they have just a few dates together left. After a San Diego show tonight (8/1) and Las Vegas tomorrow (8/2), they’ll wrap up the tour in Irvine, CA at FivePoint Amphitheater on August 3. Tickets are still on sale.

LILLIE MAE (with ROBERT PLANT & more)

In addition to opening Robert Plant’s tour, Third Man-signed alt-country singer Lillie Mae has some other shows, including a headlining album release show in Brooklyn.

EN MINOR

Former Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo explores influences like Swans and Nick Cave with his new gothic folk-tinged project En Minor, who will make their live debut in New Orleans on 8/14 and play Psycho Las Vegas two days later. More info here.

Indie rock vets +/- {Plus/Minus}, the trio of Versus’ James Baluyut and Patrick Ramos plus drummer Chris Deaner, are back with their first record in five yearsSummer 2019: Extended Play. They’ll open for Versus on a few West Coast dates.
