Former Walkmen frontman Hamilton Leithauser has been using this residency at swanky supper club Cafe Carlyle (“chic attire required”) to preview songs from his upcoming album The Love of Your Life. Don’t be surprised by leftfield covers and special guests, either. Tonight’s the final show.

Caroline Polachek, Daniela Lalita @ Warsaw
Former Chairlift singer Caroline Polachek released her solo debut, Pang, last year and brings her theatrical live show to Brooklyn tonight.

Krallice, The Flying Luttenbachers, Chepang @ Saint Vitus
Krallice may not tour too often, but New Yorkers should not take for granted that the hometown band are playing this weekend. It’s their first show in about two years, and the only one they currently have scheduled. It’s also a good lineup all around, with reunited avant-garde vets The Flying Luttenbachers and grindcore greats Chepang (playing a collaborative set with Wreckless Life).

Ava Mendoza, Rivers Edge, Shellshag, Unknown Sender, Goose @ Windjammer
Ridgewood bar Windjammer hosts a solid show with guitar great Ava Mendoza, Rivers Edge (mem This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb), local DIY vets Shellshag, and more. For Shellshag, they say this is one of two NYC shows they’re playing in 2020 (the other is in February with Iron Chic).

The Smithereens @ Sony Hall
Smithereens frontman Pat DiNizio died back in 2017 but the rest of the band are continuing to play shows with Robin Wilson of Gin Blossoms taking over lead vocals.

The Wants, Grim Streaker, ESSi @ ALPHAVILLE
